What is a Dugout?

A dugout is a crafted piece of wood that has two compartments. The first for storing dried tobacco or fine herbs, and the second to hold the spring loaded one hitter cigarette bat. These two compartments are secured by a swivel or slider lid. This small discreet smoking device is popular with all kinds of smokers, from festival goers to outdoor types and travelers. It is easy to transport and one can conveniently consume their favorite dried herbs without the hassle of having sub standard storage. It is also a very efficient and eco friendly way to consume fine herbs and tobacco. The one hitter pipe pops up when you open the lid of the dugout. You take it out, put the bowl tip in the compartment with your dried herbs and grind it in order to pack the bowl. This provides an efficient one hit experience. The pipe does need cleaning from time to time. I use a paper clip, extended out with water and a paper towel to clean out the resin. In order to fill your dugout with dried herbs, I recommend purchasing a small herb grinder. I have plenty in stock in my smoke shop store front. Grind a little amount of the herb in the grinder, tip it out onto a tabletop or sheet of paper, and funnel it into the dugout compartment. Dugouts provide an easy system to store and enjoy your dried herbs.
